Shyama Jaswal | Registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist
Shyama Jaswal is a Registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist licensed by the CTCMA. After graduating from the University of Victoria with a B.A. in Anthropology & Art History, she went on to pursue a Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine from The Canadian College Of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in Victoria, BC. As part of her training, she completed an internship in China in the Traditional Chinese
Shyama focuses her practice on Women’s Health Concerns including pregnancy, fertility, postpartum, PMS, hormone imbalance, anxiety, depression, mood swings, & other gynecological conditions. In addition, she also treats pain(chronic & acute), digestive concerns, stress & energy issues, allergies, colds & flues, migraines, cleansing & detoxing.
Shyama treats each client with a unique & personal approach & believes in healthy living. A balanced body, mind & spirit allows for optimum quality of life.
Eating whole foods, exercising, meditating, self care and preventative medicine all provide a holistic approach to healthy living. Upon completing the traditional chinese medicine consultation process, Shyama will recommend acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Cupping, Moxibustion, Electrostimulation, various dietary changes (seasonal and whole organic foods), & or various nutritional supplements to help clients achieve optimal health.
As well as spending time with her family & friends, Shyama loves the arts & travel. Her past trips to Africa, India, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Hawaii, & Mexico keep her inspired to see other countries in the world!
Meditation & yoga, singing, playing harmonium & being in nature keep her grounded and calm throughout her very busy days.
